Thoughtful, independent advice to help shape a Kenya trip that truly suits you.

If you’re considering travelling to Kenya and want calm, honest advice from someone who has lived there — not just visited — you’re in the right place. I help travellers plan meaningful, well-matched trips to Kenya through independent, lived-experience advice.

I don’t sell holidays, I don’t book travel, and I’m not tied to any one operator. My role is to help you make good decisions before you commit time and money.

Why work with me?

I lived and worked in Kenya for over 30 years. I know the country beyond the headlines and beyond the brochure descriptions.

People come to me because they want:

  • Clear guidance on where to go — and where not to

  • Help matching interests, pace and budget to the right regions

  • Reassurance around safety, logistics and expectations

  • An experienced, independent sounding board before booking

Kenya offers extraordinary experiences — but only when it’s planned with care.

I work best with travellers who:

  • Are planning a first or second trip to Kenya

  • Want quality, not rushed itineraries

  • Prefer advice from a real person, rather than online noise

  • Value judgement, realism and context

Many of my clients are couples or families looking for a once-in-a-lifetime trip and want to feel confident they are doing it well.

Who I help

How I work

My service is simple and transparent

1. Paid Consultation

A 60–90 minute phone or Zoom conversation focused entirely on your trip.

We’ll discuss:

  • What kind of experience will genuinely suit you

  • Which regions of Kenya fit your interests and timing

  • Budget realities and trade-offs

  • Practical considerations and common pitfalls

    Consultation fee: £75

2. Optional Written Itinerary

If helpful, I can prepare a clear, written outline of a suitable itinerary, including:

  • Suggested route and pacing

  • Regional recommendations

  • Accommodation styles and ranges

  • Practical planning notes

    Additional fee: from £150

3. Introductions

If appropriate, I can introduce you to a small number of carefully chosen safari specialists whose style and values align with your preferences.

I remain independent and selective.

Any referral is based on fit, not sales pressure.

A short intake questionnaire helps ensure our conversation is focussed and genuinely useful.

What I don’t do:

       * Sell or package holidays

       * Take payment for travel

       * Promote mass-market trips

This allows me to remain impartial and focused entirely on what is right for your trip.

Transparency

If you choose to book with a specialist I introduce, I may receive a referral fee. This does not affect the price you pay and does not influence my advice. I will always be open about how I work.

Advisory service notice
'Considering Kenya’ provides independent travel advice and planning support only. I do not sell, package, or book travel, and I do not take payment for travel services. Any bookings are made directly between you and your chosen travel provider.
